Ever wonder what the color bands on resistors mean? This program by WorkHorse Games decodes these bands for you. You can either enter the color bands and find out the value or you can enter the value and find out the color bands. This program decodes three, four and five band resistors. The resistor in question is displayed on the screen so you can see what it is supposed to look like.

Coding and decoding of color coded resistors and capacitors with 4 and 5 bands.
Colors are decoded to value, tolerance and maximum working voltage (capacitors) of the component. Inversely, entering value and tolerance displays the color codings. Option to compute the resulting value of a series or parallel resistor or capacitor network with 2 or 3 components. No installation required.

HAMIC, the HAM Intelligent Calculator, is designed to aid HAM perform a number of calculations. HAMIC has a simple to use, but powerful graphical interface that allows solving simple circuits such as resistors in series or parallel, or more complex circuits such as L networks or T networks. As well, other calculations such as SWR and reactance conversions are supported.

Resistors are normally supplied in ranges that have 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 or 192 values per decade. RVal helps you select the best values to produce a given ratio or difference, to connect in series or parallel to produce an exact value, the nearest preferred value to any given value, find the preferred value required in parallel with an existing resistance to produce a desired value or display a list of the values in one decade of any range.
